Here is the example of how  you can convert these waste things in to beautiful pretty things.Like i did with waste CD's.I made Ganesha out of few waste CDs and decorated with gems and beads.

Fire head prop for school annual function

There was one dance in annual function where kids had to dressed up like a fire.To denote fire i needed to make something for fire prop,so i used hair band with fire symbol on it.Now to make a fire prop on the hair band was the biggest challenge for me because it should be something stand on the head which obviously should not fall during the performance.
Initially i tried thermocole sheet to make fire but the thermocole sheet didn't work because its broke when kids started dancing.After so many trials one thing clicked that is foam sheet and after trying foam sheet on the head, Thank god it worked :).

I wanted to share the tutorial for fire prop in case some teachers need help.So i am going to tell you the tutorial step by step for that.

I have been very busy in school annual function for last 1 week,that is the reason I was not active on my blog for last few days.But the function is over and am so  relieved now. I going to upload few more work pictures which i displayed at school reception area for christmas.

The christmas excitement is going up and in my school everybody is preparing for this festival.So am i,as an art teacher have to be creative and different with my work,so i am uploading picture of my work.

Christmas bulletin board

I recently made this bulletin board for christmas in school.

Recycled Christmas craft, a deer.

I am uploading one more post for christmas gift.A deer face on paper.To make this deer face following things are needed.

1) A cup (for deer face)

2) Black color marker or sketch pan ( to make eyes)

3) Small stems to make horns.

4)  Any colored paper to make nose.

My colleague Kanika bhardwaj helped her students to make this deer face.

Christmas craft/Santa for elementary kids

Christmas is just few days away And excitement is everywhere.Everybody is happy and wants to make special gifts to give friends,parents,sister ,brother  for this christmas.So are kids.My colleague Kanika Bhardwaj helped her students to make Santa with paper and ice cream sticks.

Recycled craft idea,Piggy bank

 To make recycled piggy bank i took an empty box which is used in the kitchen for storage.I covered it with the red paper.Lid of the box is used for the face.

To make feet i used 4 lids and cover them with the black paper.

This piggy bank made by my students with my little support and  they did a very good job.

Meaning of Bhagwan/God in hindi

Kids can understand things very easily by visuals.So there is one project to make kids understand the meaning of God.In hindi language we say Bhagwan (GOD).That is why this picture denotes the meaning of every letter of Bhagwan in hindi.
So i made something very simple with thermocole sheets.

I am trying to explain each letter in english too.There are 5 letters in this word B G V A N.

So first letter denotes BHOOMI,which means EARTH.Second letter is GAGAN which means SKY.Third letter denotes VAAYU which means AIR.Fourth letter is AGNI which means FIRE.And finally fifth letter denotes NEER which means WATER.

Craft ideas for kids/Christmas

Now i am uploading some craft work for small kids.Christmas is here and kids really want to make something for christmas so what else is better than one quick christmas tree.

Here is the picture and mommies please help your kiddies with this tree,i think you can get the idea how did i make it.

3D flower tutorial

Flowers, they are always look beautiful in any form.You can add elegance and beauty and give complete look just by adding flower to anything. 2D or 3D doesn't matter, they look pretty in any shape.

I am going to give some 3D flower tutorial and tips where you can use them.

Tutorial for 3D flower, i am uploading tutorial pictures so you can have a clear idea how to do.And i uploaded some pictures below where i used these 3D flowers.

I used big circles to make a big flower , you can take whatever size you want.

I  mostly use them on my bulletin boards. And i tried them on rangoli too. Then i got this idea for the first time that 3D flowers can be used in Rangolis. They give  magical and unique look to the rangoli. I so wanted to share this idea on my blog and here it is.

Christmas decoration in school

I arranged christmas display in school.Everything was handmade bells,santa,tree.I used thermocol to make bells and to write Merry Christmas.To make snow and Santa i have used cotton.
To make Santa i took 4-5 ivory sheets and made a cut out of human size.Used fur to make beard and hair.
