kalamkari folder design

Dear viewers, greetings!
Today i am posting two paintings which i recently painted. I made these Kalamkari paintings. Peacock is the central theme of both the art works.These art works can be used in folder design too.

Kalamkari Painting

Anjali (my student) painted another Peacock painting. This particular painting has peacocks as the center image which are surrounded with 'bail'(circular floral leafy pattern ).

Independence Day is nearing and it is a day of grand celebration all over India. In schools, preparation for the special day starts well in advance and i was asked to design invitation card to invite the dignitaries for the occasion . Initially i  thought of doing something with tri colors...saffron ,white and green ...colours of our national flag .,then i thought about painting one of  our traditional art style.. KALAMKARI....{Kalam means pen and Kari means to work}here is one sample of Kalamkari invitation card.
