Latest Diwali Decoration Ideas 2024

For Diwali decoration in a school's small Lakshmi-Ganesh temple, the focus is on simplicity and tradition, enhancing the festive atmosphere with vibrant elements:

  1. Entrance Decoration: Use marigold flowers and mango leaves to adorn the temple's entrance. Hang torans (decorative door hangings) made of fresh flowers or artificial ones.

  2. Lighting: Place earthen oil lamps (diyas) around the temple for a warm, welcoming glow. Strings of fairy lights can be wrapped around the pillars and on the temple’s walls.

  3. Rangoli: Create a beautiful rangoli with colored powders or flower petals at the temple's entrance, featuring traditional designs like lotus flowers or geometric patterns.

  4. Idol Decoration: Adorn the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha with fresh flowers, garlands, and traditional clothes. Use fabric in rich colors like red, gold, and orange to create a decorative backdrop.

  5. Incense and Scented Candles: Place incense sticks and scented candles around the temple to enhance the spiritual ambiance.

  6. Offerings and Pooja Items: Decorate the pooja thali with flowers, diyas, and offerings like sweets, fruits, and coins, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune.
